About Ashura
Meet Ashura in our eyes, the GOAT of streetlifting. Known for his calm dominance and surgical execution, Ashura has redefined what’s possible in the -66KG category. Undefeated in competition, he is a three-time World Champion.
He was the first athlete in history to hit a 100 kg pull-up in the -66 KG class and currently holds the world record total at 445.25 kg. His legacy isn’t just built on numbers, it’s built on silence, precision, and perfect control.
No hype. no noise. just domination.
Ashura’s journey is unlike any other. After delivering one of the cleanest performances ever seen at Worlds ‘23, including effortless 40.25 kg muscle-ups with plates in front of his legs, he disappeared from the spotlight. No posts. No noise. Just quiet work.
Then, without warning, he showed up at the Belgium Qualifier. And what followed was a display of complete domination. His form had evolved, now with plates between his feet. even smoother, even sharper. A new standard was set.
But his legend started even earlier. When we first met Ashura at Asgard in Lorient, he walked in, untouched by warm-ups or bands, picked up 2 x 20 KG plates, and performed a 40 KG muscle-up cold, with zero effort. That was the moment we knew: He never stopped. He kept training. Kept building. Kept becoming the best.
The king has returned, and the -66 kg division felt every bit of it.
More Than Numbers. Pure Obsession.
Ashura’s approach to training is rooted in mastery over motion. He doesn’t chase PRs he chases perfection. His focus isn’t on doing more, but on doing better. Every movement is deliberate. Every rep is a statement.
His philosophy reflects patience, strategy, and obsession with precision. He leads not only by performance but by raising champions himself.
Gear That Matches ashura's Standard.
Ashura doesn’t rely on hype only on tools that support elite execution. Whether it’s the perfect balance in loading or gear that stays out of his way, he chooses only what allows him to stay in full control. Silent. Sharp. Strong.
His go to gear from MPDS includes the MPDS Streetlifting Grip Shoes for unmatched platform stability, and the MPDS Squat Belt. built for intensive bracing under heavy loads. These are the tools he trusts to stay precise under pressure.
This is gear made for streetlifters who don’t just train, they dominate.
